Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 2026
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data Liftvice stores, how it is used, when it can leave your device, and how it is kept safe. We are committed to full transparency - no hidden surprises.
1. Who Runs Liftvice
The data controller under the GDPR is DEVIM Adrian Markiewicz, ul. Stanisława Leszczyńskiego 4/29, 50-078 Wrocław, NIP 7471923251, REGON 522184674 (a sole trader registered in Poland). For anything concerning privacy, write to contact@liftvice.app.
In practice we have almost nothing of yours to process: Liftvice has no accounts and no servers of ours, and everything you enter in the app stays on your device. The only personal data that reaches us is what you send us yourself by writing to the address above (section 9).
2. Data Collection
Liftvice has no accounts and no servers of its own. Everything you enter is stored locally on your device, in the app's database, and we do not collect your personal information. The database holds:
- Workout sessions - exercises, sets, reps, weight, and notes
- Exercises, training templates, and training cycles you create or customise
- Your display name and profile avatar
- App settings (language, theme, units, date format) and an unfinished workout, so you can resume it
- Your Premium subscription status - plan, validity dates, and the Google Play purchase token
3. How We Use Data
All stored data is used exclusively to power the features you see in the app - progress charts, personal records, statistics, and workout history. Your data is never analysed or profiled, and the app never sends it to us. It can leave your device only in the situations described in sections 5 and 6.
4. Device Permissions
The app asks for access only when you use a feature that needs it. You can decline, or revoke access later in your system settings:
- Camera and photos - only to take or pick a profile avatar. The photo stays on your device.
- Files - only to save a backup you export or open a backup you import.
- Notifications - if the app shows any, they are created locally on the device; no push notification service is used.
5. Backups
A copy of your data can leave the device in two ways:
- Android backup - if backup is turned on for your Google account, Android automatically copies the app's data (including your workout database) to your Google account and restores it when you reinstall the app or set up a new phone. The backup is handled by Google under its own privacy policy, stored encrypted in your account, and we have no access to it. You can turn it off in your phone's backup settings (usually Settings → Google → Backup).
- Manual export - when you export a backup (Settings → Import & Export), you decide where the file goes, e.g. a folder, a cloud drive, or an email. Once shared, the file is outside the app's control.
6. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell or share your data, and there are no analytics SDKs or advertising frameworks in the app. Apart from the backups described above, which you control, the only third party involved is Google Play: when you buy or restore Premium, the purchase is processed by Google Play under its own privacy policy, and the app checks your subscription status with Google Play when it starts and when you return to it. No training data is shared in that process.
7. Data Security
Since your data lives on your device, its security depends on your device's own protection. We strongly recommend using a screen lock, keeping device encryption enabled, and keeping your operating system up to date.
8. Your Rights
You are in full control of your data at all times. You can:
- Delete individual workouts, exercises, templates, or cycles at any time
- Export a full backup of your data at any time (Settings → Import & Export)
- Uninstall the app to remove all data stored on the device
- Delete copies kept outside the device - the Android backup, in your Google account's backup settings (Google Drive or Google One), and any backup files you exported
9. Contacting Us
If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use them only to reply to you - the legal basis is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in handling enquiries from users. We keep them only as long as needed to handle your request, and delete them at your request.
For that correspondence you have the right to access your data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict its processing, to object to processing, and to receive it in a portable form - just write to the same address. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority; in Poland that is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa.
10. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we will update it in the app and on our website and change the date at the top.
11. This Website
This website uses no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, and has no forms collecting personal data. Like any website, our hosting provider's server automatically records technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and time of request) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use these logs to identify or track visitors.
